The Supremacy of Christ

Jesus Christ is the most unique person in human history - there was no one like Him and there will not be anyone like Him ever. He is the image of the invisible God and the fullness of God's deity dwells in Him. If we want to know God, we need to know Christ. Christ is the manifestation and true representation of the invisible God. That is why, Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Paul understood that the nature, character and very being of God is found in Christ. That is why he writes to the Colossian church about the Supremacy of Christ.
Colossians 1:15-20
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Jesus Christ is supreme - He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, God Himself. He has supremacy over everything. He has supreme authority, supreme power, supreme creativity, supreme love, supreme grace, supreme wisdom, supreme knowledge, supreme goodness and faithfulness, supreme Holiness, supreme justice, supreme humility and so on. Jesus is the epitome of supreme perfection and beauty and everything our beings long for. Though there is no one superior to Him, He does not force Himself upon us and wants us to choose Him. He lays his life down for us, in such dehumanising manner because He loves us and chose to serve us and save us. God has forever exalted him to the highest place in the universe!
Philippians 2:5-11

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus, the most Supreme waits patiently at the door of your heart, waiting to be let in. He doesn't want to just be in your heart but He also would like to demonstrate those supreme qualities in our life and for this we need to allow Him to be supreme in our lives? Will you give Him the supremacy in your life and crown Him the Lord of your heart and life? Examine what areas in your life you are holding back? Let's yield and enthrone Him in all aspects of our life because He deserves nothing less from us.
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
